92^nd ANNUAL CONVENTION
WITH A CARDOZO AWARD PRESENTATION TO

   TAU EPSILON RHO LAW SOCIETY will open its 92^nd Annual National Convention with the presentation of the Benjamin Nathan Cardozo Memorial Award to retired United States Supreme Court Associate Justice John Paul Stevens. Justice Stevens will accept the award at the Cardozo Award Dinner, which will be the opening event of the convention, on Thursday, December 27, 2012.   

    This year’s convention will be held at the Waldorf Astoria Naples, a first class resort facility located at 475 Seagate Drive in Naples, Florida on the beautiful Gulf Coast.  The Convention will run from December 27, 2012 through January 1, 2013. The special room rate for TER convention registrants and their guests is $225.00 per night, single or double occupancy, with children under age 15 staying free in their parents’ room with a maximum of 4 people per room. These special convention room rates will be offered, based on availability, from December 21^st through January 3^rd for those wishing to extend their stay. The hotel also charges a daily resort charge, normally $30.00 per night, but has reduced it to $10.00 per night for our group. Included in the Resort Charge is unlimited local and U.S. calls; covered self parking; use of fitness center; daily newspaper; in-room coffee; internet access; lounge chairs at the beach; beach tram service; and use of the computers in the hotel lobby. This is a full service resort and has golf, tennis and a full service spa.  TER members will also be entitled to a ten percent (10%) discount on golf and spa services over the convention program dates. Once you arrive at the TER reservation site, just follow the instructions to book your room for the convention.

You can also call the hotel’s room reservation department using their toll-free number 1-888-722-1270, making sure you request the special TER room rate by using the reservation group code “TAUEPS.”  A deposit equal to one (1) night’s room and tax will be required at the time you book your reservation. This deposit will be refunded provided your cancellation is received at least seven (7) days prior to your scheduled arrival.  The hotel reservation cutoff date is DECEMBER 3^rd and reservations made after that date will be accepted by the hotel on a space available basis.  This special room rate is available only to those TER members who register for the convention and their family related guests.  

At the opening Cardozo Award Dinner on December 27^th, Justice Stevens will participate in a program in which he will answer questions from an interviewer and then from the audience.  We will also present a CLE program for convention registrants for up to six (6) CLE credit hours. Applications for CLE accreditation will be made to the states of Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Florida, New Jersey and Illinois for approval of our program. The cost of CLE program and all filing fees are included in the convention fee. The closing dinner event concluding the convention will take place on December 30^th.

For the advance pre-paid convention fee of $580.00 per couple ($290.00 per single) paid on or before December 1, 2012*, you will be entitled to receive the following:

1.         Room accommodations at the Waldorf Astoria Naples at the convention rates listed above;

2.         Reception and dinner at the Cardozo Awards Dinner on December 27^th;

3.         Continental breakfasts and all fees related to the CLE programs tentatively scheduled for the mornings of December 28^th and 30^th;

4.         Closing dinner on December 30^th; and

5.         Hospitality suite availability every night during the convention where light beverages and snacks will be available.

 * $680.00 per couple and $340.00 per person if received after December 1, 2012.
