 TAU EPSILON RHO LAW SOCIETY will hold its 86^th Annual National Convention and Membership Meeting at the HYATT SARASOTA HOTEL located on Sarasota Bay just steps away from the downtown business district of Sarasota, Florida , from  Wednesday, December 27, 2006 through Monday, January 1, 2007. This year’s fabulous room rates begin at $130.00 per night single or double occupancy, with special room rates available on a limited basis for deluxe rooms and suites. These special TER rates are available only for TAU EPSILON RHO LAW SOCIETY members and their guests!!

 The HYATT SARASOTA HOTEL is a magnificent facility with all the amenities of a superior first class hotel. Guestrooms feature cordless phones with data port, wireless T-Mobile Internet access, voice mail, iron and ironing board and coffee makers. Two hundred guest rooms feature a balcony. The hotel is just 4 miles from the Sarasota/Bradenton Airport and an hour drive from either the Tampa or Naples Airports .   Included in your $500.00 per couple ($250.00 for singles) Convention Registration Fee are the opening night dinner with entertainment; continental breakfast prior to the business meetings; and the closing dinner with an entertaining program.  As always, the hospitality suite will be open every night for snacks, informal get-togethers and those “famous stories.”  If you will be bringing non-member guests to the convention, other than your children, they will be required to pay the $500.00 registration fee in order to qualify for our group’s reduced room rate.  Of course, those registered guests are entitled to participate in all of the TER activities and functions including evenings in hospitality.   

We have again been able to schedule certified CLE sessions during the convention.  Professor Robert A. Sedler, from Wayne State University Law School , will provide two (2) CLE Approved Seminars at the National Convention. The basic theme of these seminars will be an update of constitutional law and in that regard there will be a three (3) credit hour seminar on individual rights dealing with abortion, same sex marriages, right of privacy, due process and equal protection and a second three (3) credit hour seminar on the First Amendment dealing with freedom of speech and religion. Your guests are invited to attend these interesting seminars. 

Professor Sedler is a nationally known expert and commentator on constitutional law issues and is well respected in this field of law. We have already obtained Continuing Legal Education accreditation and approval from Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York for six (6) substantive hours, and an application is pending for Illinois (it's system is not yet in place).
