TER has just completed its 85th Annual Meeting & Convention at the Sheraton Yankee Trader hotel in Ft. Lauderdale on the beach.  Everyone (new and old) had a great time.  Thanks go to David Liner (and Lori), the Convention Chair), who put together a good time for all even while adjusting to a new job and relocating his home.  Thanks also to Alan Tepper for coordinating behind the scenes.  Particular appreciation goes to our CLE speakers, Dave Grunfeld and Stan Cohen, for their timely and informative presentations.

Keep an eye on the website in the next couple of months as we unveil plans for an exciting 86th convention.

At the closing dinner, I discussed the need for TER to focus on its existing membership this year.  Different efforts must be made for our core membership, whether in Detroit, Philadelphia, or in a community without an active TER Graduate Chapter.  We will be revising our approach to the website this year in order to deliver information to our members in a more timely and effective manor.  We are developing specific programs to appeal to each of these membership groups, and more information will be available as time goes by.

To ensure that you receive timely information on all TER activities, make sure that we have your current email address in our National office.  Take the time to update your LawNet listing and forward it to Alan Tepper.  You can find the form by following the link to TER LawNet Update.

As a reminder, there are many opportunities for our members to become more involved with TER.  We are looking for a member experienced in developing websites to serve as our webmaster.   We are also looking for members interested in developing CLE programs for our membership.  If either of these positions interest you, please send me an email or call me at 248.357.0002.

In closing, I hope that many of you will decide to join us at our midyear business meeting this year (details to be announced in February); opportunities exist for members to serve as delegates to this meeting and receive nominal stipends toward travel expenses.  Again, if this interests you, send an email to me.
